India Travels

I recently caught myself looking through some old Blackberry (RIP) pics that I taken whilst traveling through Delhi last year.  I can't get enough of India.  So much to see and learn and connect with.  Here are some moments that stuck out.  I'll be sure to use my iPhone next time for better quality (yikes!).

Old movie posters for the win.  Am I right or am I right?

Green the Gap!  Such a fantastic concept.  They take old scrap fabrics from waste factories, old tetra packs, scrap rubber from wasted car and truck tires... and they make AWESOME products like wallets, table coasters, pencil cases and laptop bags.  Ingenious South Asian awesomeness.  We're smarter than we think.  This company is switched ON!

Obviously the bag that you walk out with is made from old newspapers.  The headlines were hilarious btw.

A good day.

I see you.

Good name.

Good vibe.

Good view. Good presentation. Medium (at best) food.

Tulsi tea, in the cutest little tea shop I've ever seen.  Word to Ella.

CTC West | Shivani & Nimesh

Congratulations to Shivani & Nimesh on their beautiful wedding in Jamaica!

When Shivani came to CTC West for the first time, she already knew what she was looking for.  She B-Lined for the "CTC West | Pretty in Pink" lehenga, and then told me to get out my measuring tape :p

We took Shivani's dream outfit, and incorporated elements like the strong borders and colour palette, into her dream fiancé's sherwani.

I have no doubts that this was one of the best parties ever known.  You can see more pics over at their photographer's blog: Manuela Stefan Photography.

Congratulations once again, and please say what's up to Yogi for me :)

Lavish Dulhan (Summer/Fall 2012)

We had a blast at last Friday's launch party for the second issue of Lavish Dulhan's magazine.  The magazine is a beautifully crafted inspiration book, full of rich images and ideas for your upcoming wedding.  Lavish Dulhan put together their own creative shoot for this edition, "The Fashion Issue", and they also had satellite creative teams put together their own inspirational photoshoots.  Below are some quick glimpses of where CTC West is featured in this issue.  Be sure to pick up your copy, wherever awesome magazines are sold ;)

CTC West Testimonial: Amy & Tim

It's pretty hard to feel any better than this.  Amy, one of our CTC West Brides, was faced with the very difficult task of purchasing her wedding outfit in Toronto, before heading back to her life in New Zealand. She made it happen though, placing her bridal order, and her trust, with CTC West.

One of the parts that I absolutely hate about my work, is that we rarely get to see our clients in their wedding outfits.  We'll take these amazing images as an awesome consolation prize though!  It's so gratifying to see our clients smiling timelessly through their eyes in their wedding pictures.

Amy - thank you so very much for the lovely words in your card, and congratulations on what was undoubtedly a beautiful wedding.

:)

This pictures is definitely going into the CTC West history books!!
